We celebrated the UN Cultural Diversity day with a fantastic food and conversation event at Finsbury Park Trust.

The event started with tea and chat and participants were delighted to be able to talk to local MP Jeremy Corbyn as well.

Then Anna Nije, the CEO of Go Africa, who organised the event, welcomed everyone and spoke movingly about her experiences and hope for the future. Partners Islington Somali Community and Jannaty Women’s Social Society also joined in and welcomed their clients.

Everyone was able to share a filling meal of Jolof Rice, chicken and salad and meet new people from a variety of communities.
