Finsbury Park Trust was delighted to host a celebration of international women this week, welcoming Islington Mayor Anjna Khurana and Councillor Saiqa Pandor as well to lead the speeches.

Empowerment was top of the agenda for all the women in the room, who came from many different countries and cultures. Each contributed food from their own country to the feast so that everyone could try each other’s food. It was a really buzzing event. One person brought their national dress to show her Yemeni roots.
