Hate crime, and the fear of incidents directed at people of different backgrounds, has been growing in recent years. Finsbury Park Trust brought together local people and the local police for a community meal and discussion.
People spoke about problems that they had encountered and police officers were able to advise them on how to get help, what they should report and how to keep themselves safe.
The event was delivered in conjunction with Jannaty Women’s Social Society and Islington Somali Community, both based at the Trust, and Go Africa.
